No Catching Tarzino Filly Born Hustler

Mark Smith - Wednesday June 14

Brooklyn Hustle's half-sister, Born Hustler, is hard to catch, but the three-year-old daughter of Tarzino was at the top of her game in Wednesday's Tobin Brothers Celebrating (Bm70) (1600m) at Sandown-Hillside.

Given a positive ride by apprentice Wiremu Pinn, the Jason Warren-trained filly led at every call to defeat the Swear filly Regal Vow by two and a half lengths, with the Tivaci filly Ferlazzo a further one and a quarter lengths back in third.

"She’s very talented, but she can be a bit of a thinker,” assistant trainer Joe Herbert said.

“She started to put her best foot forward at Mornington the other day, so seeing her run well today was no surprise.

“As long as she stepped well, the plan was for her to make the running, and she was given a lovely ride.

“She looks fantastic, great in the coat, and looks like she is putting it all together. I don’t see a reason not to continue with her while she is in a good frame of mind.”

A homebred for Rosemont Stud, Born Hustler advances her record to three wins, a second, and two thirds from 13 starts, with earnings of $130,250.

The daughter of Tarzino is a half-sister to Starspangledbanner's Group II BRC Dane Ripper Stakes winner Brooklyn Hustle and is one of three winners from five to race for Joint Aspiration (GB).

A daughter of the outstanding Pivotal, Joint Aspiration (GB) won a Listed race at Belmont and placed in Listed races at Newmarket and Kempton.

Without threatening, she contested the Group 1 Fillies Mile, Epsom Oaks, 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and The Curragh and the Nassau Stakes.

Consigned to the 2007 Tattersalls November Mixed Sale, carrying a positive test to Gone West (USA), Joint Aspiration (GB) was a 320,000 guineas purchase for French Bloodstock Agency.

Joint Aspiration (GB) has a yearling colt by Exceed And Excel and was covered last spring by Exceedance.

Brooklyn Hustle visited Zoustar in her first season last spring.
