Zoukerette Salutes for Iskander Racing

A half-sister to stakes-winner Zoukerino and Group III placed Spend, well related I Am Invincible filly Zoukerette had a valuable race experience and fitness edge over her rivals in the 1100m fillies maiden at Canterbury on Wednesday.

Well prepared by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Zoukerette stalked the leader Power Ballard and when she started to fade, Zoukerette surged to the lead for Jason Collett opening her account to win by three-quarters of a length over fast finishing The Autumn Sun filly Tutta La Vita.

“She’s very fit after two runs and back in trip,” said stable representative Johann Gerard-Dubord.

“Jason rode her well and took luck out of the equation.”

Zoukerette was bred and sold by Milburn Creek.

An $800,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Milburn Creek for Ciaron Maher Bloodstock/Suman Hedge Bloodstock, Zoukerette runs for Iskander Racing , Sean Griffiths and Suman Hedge.

Bred by Milburn Creek, she is fifth winner from five to race from stakes-winning Hussonet (USA) mare Walk With Attitude.

Milburn Creek sold a yearling colt by The Autumn Sun from Walk With Attitude at Inglis Easter this year for $120,000.
