Everest Reshapes Sires Tables

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 16
The running of the $10million The Everest last Saturday has reshaped the Australian General Sires List and delivered what looks like an unassailable lead to Arrowfield Stud's superstar Snitzel as well as giving a significant boost to Pierro.

The reigning champion sire, Snitzel sired the winner of the race Redzel and in so doing has opened up a margin of nearly $7million over his barn mate Not a Single Doubt, who posted four stakes-winners on Saturday headed by his Caulfield Guineas winner Mighty Boss.

Pierro's brilliant daughter Tulip did best of the three year-old fillies engaged and her brave fifth placing was enough to propel Pierro to the top of the Australian Second Season Sires List.
