Hugh Bowman was on board for the maintenance work on the steeple grass, striding on before the 1000m and cruising through in 1:11.12, keen to go faster late, her last 400m in 26.04 seconds with Bowman restraining the six-year-old.

Winx's Group I winning stable mate Foxplay was also in action in similar fashion on the inside grass, covering 1000m in 1:11.23, the last 400m in 26.09 seconds and done easily.

The winner of her last 21 starts, Winx is a best priced $1.25 favourite with CrownBet to win her third Cox Plate.
