A rails-hugging ride from Michael Walker held Mighty Boss to a shock win in Saturday's Group I Caulfield Guineas (1600m).

Mighty Boss came from well back to score at $101, beating Kementari ($5.50) by a neck while Catchy was another length away third as the $4.40 favourite.

It was good to get him over the line. He relaxed beautiful and got the perfect run through. It panned out perfectly for us.

Super run. He just got there too soon and got lost.

She ran well. I had a beautiful run in the race but I just think she doesn't run a mile. The last 100(m) she was left wanting.

We'll put it down to the one that got away I think. He got checked into the bend and running into the straight it was a real messy race. The horse that didn't find any trouble back on the inside doing nothing was the winner. Just one of those races that the better horses were to the fore but the one that had the run in transit won.

I thought he ran really well in the circumstances. He got racing a bit in the higher pressure race today and he didn't make that first corner really well and it just took me 100m to get him to drop his head.

He ran super. He just got into bad luck coming into the straight and he came out again and ran on super. He's going places.

Creditable run. He got a fair way back and he didn't have the speed early and they made me run wide and he was a little bit unlucky but he's still on track going forward to the Derby.

He blended into the race really well and I thought he was going to finish off well but he just peaked on his run.

He jumped super out of the gates so I took the chance to come across but they came with me and we ended up running a good solid clip.

He just got a bit tight early and got a bit of a fright when he took on the running rail a bit. He was a little bit held up coming to the turn but I think because he over-raced a little bit, he wasn't quite as brilliant in the straight.

He just jumped slow from the gates and we wanted to be forward but they crossed us in the first 100m. We got three-deep with cover but he just got pulling too hard so I had to pop out. We just got pushed aronund coming into the straight.

He ran well. He's probably still a bit immature and he'll be a much better horse next time in.

He was caught wide up on the pace without cover and he was the first one attacked by The Mission. He had a tough run.
