Collingrove Super Six for Premier

Daniel Brash and his team at Murchison based Collingrove Stud are poised for action at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale with a draft of 19 to offer including two cracking colts by Toronado (IRE) and a stunning colt by leading European sire Night of Thunder (IRE).

Their first horse into the ring is a super flashy youngster from a fast family of fillies that is sure to turn heads. 

Lot 73 is by Headwater from Red Duchez and is a full sister to smart multiple Hong Kong winner Flaming Passion.

It’s a renowned speed family and Red Duchez is a grand-daughter of flying Group III Gimcrack Stakes winner Mother Duck and a half-sister to the dams of stakes-winners Ladys Angel and Oxford Poet.

Toronado (IRE) is one of Victoria’s favourite sons and Collingrove have two colts in their draft that make an instant impression.

Lot 109 is a half-brother to two winners including promising three year-old Deekay (Hellbent), who has won two of five starts and was fourth in the $175,000 Eureka Stockade last spring before resuming with a good second at Ballarat last Sunday. This colt is the fifth foal from well related Exceed and Excel mare Seagrove, whose dam is a sister to Group I winner Hill of Grace and Group II winner Renewable.

He is bred on a super successful nick with Toronado siring 12 winners from 14 runners out of Exceed and Excel mares headed by stakes-winner Laced Up Heels and stakes-placed Elderflower.

Lot 589 is a powerful bay with a silver tail and is the second foal of Mojo Moon, a winning half-sister to Group III winner Testashadow from the family of Group I winning champion sire Zoustar.

Adding a dash of international appeal to the draft is Lot 107 from Screen Icon(IRE), one of three colts to be offered at this sale by Dubawi’s outstanding sire son Night of Thunder, who stands at a fee of €100,000 at Darley in Ireland.

He has the sort of pedigree that drives Australian buyers to European sales and is from a full sister Group III VRC Lexus Stakes winner Signoff, who was also fourth in the Melbourne Cup.

Lot 745 is a lovely filly from the first crop of super-fast and precocious young I Am Invincible sire I Am Immortal.

She is a half-sister to three winners and her dam Fighting Flyer has 100% winners to runners and is a half-sister by Fastnet Rock to Group winners Kebede and Panzer Division from Champion Chilean 2YO Filly Desert Flight (Chi).

Lot 765 is a full sister to an outstanding horse in Hong Kong in Packing Treadmill that has won six of nine starts and gained Black Type at his last start when third in the Hong Kong Classic Mile.

This quality filly is by proven Group I sire Manhattan Rain from winning Dane Shadow mare I’m an Outoftowner, who comes from the family of Group I winners Ilovethiscity and Donna Rosita.
