Brad Waters - Tuesday October 10

Jockey Michael Dee can take his ride in Saturday's Caulfield Guineas after a Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board decision on Tuesday.

Dee received an eight-meeting ban, which put him out of Saturday's big meeting, for careless riding at Seymour on Sunday before he appealed both the conviction and the severity of the penalty.

The RAD Board dismissed Dee's appeal against the conviction but cut two meetings from his suspension, which leaves the rider free to ride the Mick Price-trained Holy Snow in the $2 million Caulfield Guineas.

Earlier, Dee's fellow rider James Winks also had a small win at the RAD Board in his appeal against a 12-meeting suspension he incurred at Seymour on Sunday.

Winks, who was found guilty on the day, also appealed both the stewards' decision and penalty on Tuesday.

The RAD Board cut Winks's suspension to nine meetings, meaning he will be able to resume riding on Tuesday week.
