Winning Debut for So You Think Filly

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 26

With two wins from three starts at the trials, the David Pfieffer trained So Audacious was keen to keep her tidy record on raceday and the daughter of So You Think hit the line hard late between runners to snatch a popular debut victory in at Warwick Farm on Australia Day.

Ridden patiently by Rachel King, So Audacious tracked the leader Snitcat and kept coming late to score a tenacious head win in the 1100m maiden.

“She’s a So You Think, so you’re always a bit cautious first start in a race  at 1100m, but she’d shown us a lot at home and this is a great start to her career,” said David Pfieffer

“She’s going to want ground and she is still immature and has a lot of learning to do.”

Rachel King was impressed with So Audacious.

“She showed good determination and just wants to be a racehorse,” she said.

She is the first winner for Audacious Choice, a winning half-sister by Redoute’s Choice to Inglis Millennium winner Prime Star from Group I winner Barinka.
