Winx thrashed her rivals in Saturday's Group I Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.

The great mare easily put 6 ½ lengths on her opposition by the time the judge called time.

Below is what the jockeys had to say about the performances of their Turnbull Stakes mounts.

1st	Winx	Hugh Bowman	She was unenthusiastic last start in Sydney. Maybe she had a bit of a day where she didn't want to do it but she still did it in style. My theory is there's a track being renovated at Rosehill, one of the big sand tracks, probably the busiest, which has put more traffic on the smaller sand track. Every time she works and being the competitive individual she didn't like it, but the open spaces here at Flemington have suited her she's able to do her own thing on her off days.
2nd	Ventura Storm	Regan Bayliss	He's ticking away perfectly and his grand final is in a couple of weeks time.
3rd	Humidor	Damian Lane	He ran OK. He got into a nice rhythm down the back. When the pressure went, he just came off the bridle and wanted to lay in a bit.
4th	Assign	Katelyn Mallyon	It was a good run. She's just too good Winx.
5th	Sir Isaac Newton	Damien Oliver	It was below-par today I think. He's a better horse without cover.
6th	Magicool	Christopher Brown	He went well. In a lesser affair, he wins next start.
7th	Skyfire	Dwayne Dunn	No comment.
