I Am Impinge as a yearlingI Am Impinge was well fancied to win and after settling off the pace, charged to the line to win the 1012 metre maiden plate by nearly two legnths.

A $190,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Westbury Stud draft for his trainer, I Am Impinge is a half-brother to Group III placed Jalan Jalan from stakes-placed Impinge, a half-sister to Group III winner That's Not It.

I Am Impinge is the 27th Australian two year-old winner this season for I Am Invincible, who is second to only Snitzel in this department.

This current crop of two year-olds by I Am Invincible are his last crop of foals conceived at a fee of $10,000 making his achievement to sire so many juvenile winners even more remarkable given the current crop of Snitzel two year-olds were conceived at a fee of $49,500.
