See You In Heaven Romps in the Sandown Guineas - Half Brother Catalogued for Magic Millions

Mark Smith - Saturday November 26

While his brother Proisir has been grabbing the headlines, Divine Prophet gave a reminder that he also can sire a top notcher when his daughter See You In Heaven belted the boys in the $300,000 Group II Sandown Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Ridden by Craig Williams for Richard and Chantelle Jolly, See You In Heaven hit the front with 300m to run and was never in danger of defeat.

The daughter of Divine Prophet put one and three-quarter lengths on second-placed The Fortune Teller (Caravaggio), with Kings Consort (Ilovethiscity) a short-half-head back in third ahead of Shuriken (Tosem Stardom) in fourth.

Richard Jolly said the win opens up plenty of options for the filly.

“The first time at the mile, so that answered a few questions, and we can plan a few in the autumn, Jolly said.

“We might even look at an Oaks with her. Really happy for the filly, she hasn’t had much luck this time in and has done a great job.

“She’s got a bit of a habit of not jumping well. I think Craig had it in his head that he would go forward. I thought we’d probably go back and get cover, and he was pretty adamant he was going forward - that’s why he’s a good jockey.

“There’s plenty of options, we’ll just get her home and reassess and decide from there.

See You In Heaven advances her record to four wins, a second, and two thirds from nine starts, with earnings of $494,370.

A $27,000 purchase by Kestrel Thoroughbreds when offered by Aquis at the 2020 National Weanling Sale, See You In Heaven was consigned by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock to the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, where she was knocked down to Richard and Chantelle Jolly for $90,000.

The 4-time stakes-winner is the best of five winners from seven to race out of the Melbourne-winning Anabaa mare Shine On Anna.

Aquis Farm purchased Shine On Anna for $33,000 from Yarraman Park Stud draft at the 2018 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale before selling her for just $6,000 on Inglis Digital two years later.

A daughter of the stakes-placed Machiavellian mare Shine On Me, Shine On Anna has a yeanling colt by Cliff’s Edge in the Longwood Thoroughbreds draft heading to the Magic Millions In January Lot 377

See You In Heaven comes from the second crop of Divine Prophet who stands at Aquis Stud for a fee of $16,500.
