Fabulous Flemington –you have to be in it to win it!

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 27

Derby Day at Flemington is something special with nine races to be run and all of them Group races highlighted by three Group I events – Victoria Derby (2500m 3YO), Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m 3YO) and Empire Rose Stakes (1600m f &m) – so who are the sires most represented?

Big cash on offer at Rosehill for the $10million Golden Eagle and $3million Nature Strip Stakes has kept some of the big players in Sydney, but for those chasing Black Type Flemington is the place to be.

Click here to see all the Flemington Sale Mail and you can sort by sire and vendor.

There are two sires equal in terms of opportunity with nine runners each and they are Snitzel and So You Think, with Written Tycoon just behind on seven followed by I Am Invincible on six.

Sebring has five runners, while Deep Field and Pierro both have four and Frankel, who had a stakes double last Saturday has three contenders this time.

Cash is great for owners, but Black Type results are what drive the breeding industry so all eyes will be on Flemington this Saturday.
