Invincible Colt Breaks Maiden

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 3

A half-brother to Group I ATC Champagne Stakes winning sire The Mission, progressive I Am Invincible colt Atlantic Ocean kicked off a new preparation with a stylish win at Warwick Farm on Monday.

Trained by Chris Waller, Atlantic Ocean had three runs earlier this year in April and May finishing fifth, fourth and third, but has obviously returned a stronger and more seasoned competitor following his spell.

Tuned up with a couple of recent trials, he relished the 1400m assignment doing his best work to the line for Tommy Berry to win by a length and a half.

Atlantic Ocean was a $525,000 Magic Millions purchase for Tom Magnier from the Element Hill draft and runs for Coolmore and partners.

$525,000 Magic Millions purchase Atlantic Ocean.

Bred by Formosa Bloodtstock, he is a half-brother to not only Group I winner The Mission, but also Group III placed Smart Amelia being the sixth winner from six to race from My Amelia, a winning Redoute’s Choice daughter of Group I winner Carry on Cutie.
