If ever there was a topical name, surely this Zoustar filly has it and Platinum Jubilee may well do the name justice as she did everything right and looks a readymade 2YO as was her half-sister Queen of the Ball last season.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Platinum Jubilee strode forward and led, controlling the trial all the way and scoring a comfortable win.

Platinum Jubilee was a $600,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $600,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott/Kestrel Thoroughbreds, Platinum Jubilee was bred by Sir Owen Glenn’s Go Bloodstock and is a half-sister to Group III winner Queen of the Ball from stakes-winning Fastnet Rock mare Miss Debutante.

HEAT 5 – Colts – Flying Trapeze – 52.38 seconds

First trial winner for Snitzel’s champion son Trapeze Artist and Flying Trapeze showed good pace to cross and lead from an outside gate and was ridden along to find the line and score a narrow win over the strong finishing Snitzel colt Empire of Japan.

An $85,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft for his trainer Gary Portelli, Flying Trapeze was bred by Bert Vieira and is the second foal of Coromandel, a half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to Group II winner Toydini.

Flying Trapeze was a Magic Millions purchase and runs for a huge group of all women owners.

His trainer anticipates the colt will head to the Breeders Plate so may well be the first race day performer for Trapeze Artist, who stands at Widden stud at a fee of $55,000 this spring.

HEAT 4 – Fillies – Sicilian – 51.38 seconds

Natural speedster is Sicilian, the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained I Am Invincible filly was quick to begin and led all the way for an impressive win with the Annabel Neasham trained Justify (USA) filly Learning to Fly surging into second place.

First Justify we have seen in action in Australia and Learning to Fly is doing just that!

A $6

50,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park  draft for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott/Kestrel Thoroughbreds, Sicilian is a full sibling to two winners and is the third foal from Group III placed Lonhro filly Pursuits.

Sicilian was bred and sold by Yarraman Park.

She is closely related to a couple of juvenile stakes-winners in Jorda and Espaaniyah, who is also by I Am Invincible.
