Strong Spring Start for Supido

If you’re breeding on a budget this spring, Widden Stud’s Supido is making a great case for himself siring five winners this month including a promising debut winner at Murray Bridge on Wednesday.

Lynda’s Legacy overcame difficulty to charge home and win the 900m maiden running away.

Trained by Greg Lesnikowski & Ryan Hannemann, Lynda’s Legacy was not offered at auction and is the third winner from Mam’selle Harada, a winning Haradasun mare whose pedigree traces back to the family of champion racehorse Sunline.

Mam’selle Harada is due to foal to another of the young Widden sires this spring in Anders.

Lynda’s Legacy is the fifth winner this month for Supido and those winners include Group I entered three year-olds what You Need and Buenos Noches as well Supido Beauty, who is unbeaten and has won twice this month at Wagga and Gundagai.

A Group winning sprinter by Sebring, Supido stands for a fee of just $8,800, but is up running equal second on the second crop sires list by winners with Russian Revolution and behind only Hellbent.
