First Foal for Kings Legacy Delights

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 12

Coolmore’s dual Group I winning juvenile King’s Legacy was Australia’s busiest first season sire last spring so there is keen anticipation at studs all around the country for the arrival of his first foals.

Bred by Belinda Bateman, who  is a shareholder in King’s Legacy, this glorious bay filly from Artemis Rose is one of the first to be born and possesses all the quality of her sire, who was a $1.4 million yearling purchase.

She is the fourth foal of winning Lonhro mare Artemis Rose, a half-sister to stakes-winner Regrowth and to the dam of Golden Slipper winner Forensics.

The filly features some interesting line breeding as she is from the True Blonde branch of the Easy Date family, while her sire King’s Legacy is closely related to champion sire Not a Single Doubt and comes from the Singles Bar branch of the same family.

King’s Legacy covered 212 mares last spring and stands at the same fee of $33,000 this year.
