The John Gosden-trained three-year-old was settled just behind the leaders Idaho and Order Of St George by Frankie Dettori who waited until into the home straight before allowing Enable full rein.

Enable accelerated clear 300m out and was untroubled in the run home to defeat Cloth Of Stars by 2 1/2-lengths with Ulysses 1 1/4-lengths off third with Order Of St George staying on for fourth a further 1 1/2-lengths away.

Beaten only once in eight starts, Enable won her only start as a two-year-old on the all weather surface at Newcastle. The daughter of Nathaniel has now racked up five consecutive Group I wins, by a cumulative 22-1/2 lengths, in the Epsom Oaks, Irish Oaks, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks.

It was the second win in Europe's premier middle distance contest for trainer John Gosden, who told the Racing Post Enable's biggest asset is her acceleration.

"She can cruise and then put in a massive turn of foot - her acceleration kills off a field," Gosden said.

"She's done it before and done it today. She has a great mind on her as well. She enjoys training and still looks good in her summer coat, even though the autumn leaves are coming off.

"She is a majestic queen of a filly, and like Treve she has big ears. We like big ears."

Five of the last six winners of the race have been female and it was a record fifth win in the race for Dettori who also combined with Gosden to win the race on Golden Horn.

Gosden ruled out a trip to Santa Anita for the Breeders' Cup with Enable.

"I think it would be wrong to run her again this year. I think to go to the Breeders' Cup would be wrong, too hard on the filly," Gosden said.

"If she's in great form we should consider next year. She has only raced for 10 months of her life."
