Tenth Winner for Hellbent

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 18

Yarraman Park’s Hellbent has been hitting top gear in the back end of the season with a slew of winners including the Kurt Goldman trained filly Negation, who became his tenth winner when scoring at Goulburn on Monday.

Negation showed ability last spring and ran in a couple of the Magic Millions lead up races at Wyong and Ballarat where she ran well, but not well enough to warrant a trip to the Gold Coast.

Second up from a spell in the 1200m maiden, Negation came with a well timed run under Andrew Adkins to score on the line by a long head.

Negation was a $50,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase from the Grenville Stud draft for her trainer, who also prepared her sire Hellbent in the early stages of his career.

Bred by Grenville, Negation is the second winner from Gloray, a winning half-sister by Street Hero (USA) to stakes-placed American Joy and El Venetian from the family of Group I VRC Oaks winners Arapaho Miss and Miami Bound.

Hellbent

Hellbent has now wired 10 first crop winners, six of them this month!

The Group I winning son of I Am Invincible stands at a fee of $22,000.
