The Group II winning son of Sebring was going to stand for $8,800, but has now been listed at $17,600.

"We only have 25 nominations left to sell in Gold Standard on the back of Sheeza Belter, so while we obviously will honour all existing bookings the final 25 nominations are now at the adjusted  price of 16k + GST," said Antony Thompson.

Gold Standard has an uncanny resemblance to his sire Sebring.

He has had just six runners from his first small foal crop and four have won or placed with Sheeza Belter the star earning $1.4million followed by stakes-placed Golden Queen.

Gold Standard is running second on the first season sires list by earnings behind only Russian Revolution.
