$1.3Million for Tangier in Foal to I Am Invincible

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday May 25

The Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale is continuing on Wednesday with mares that have already gone to stud and Tom Magnier was back in a buying groove paying $1.3million for the Godolphin bred and sold mare Tangier in partnership with Avenue Bloodstock.

A young daughter of Medaglia D’Oro (USA), Tangier is a winning sibling to Group I winners Alizee and Astern as well as Group place-getters Tassort and Mogador.

Godolphin blueblood Tangier sold for $1.3million in foal to I Am Invincible.

She also had a pedigree update as another of her siblings Marrakesh is the dam of this season’s stakes-winning filly Mamounia, a recent winner of the Listed MRC Galilee Series Final.

Godolphin already have three daughters of blue hen Essaouira at stud, so you can see why the sale of Tangier, who is in foal to I Am Invincible in her first season at stud, made good commercial sense.
