The second day of the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale produced some great results for our new group of first season sires, so let’s take a look at some of the highlights for sires that had sales of youngsters for $100,000 or more.

Magna Grecia (IRE)

Coolmore shuttler Magna Grecia (IRE) had the best result on Thursday with a colt from unraced Zabeel mare Slippers fetching $150,000 when secured by great judge Suman Hedge.

A dual Group I winning half-brother to 2021 Horse of the Year St Mark’s Basilica, Magna Grecia is headead back to Australia this spring at a fee of $19,250, while his famous younger sibling is also on the roster at $44,000.

So You Think’s dashing grey Group I winning son D’Argento has been popular at Bowness Stud and made his mark with a colt from She’s a Storm making $120,000 for Bowness when bought by Jorshan Investments Pty Ltd.

Coolmore based Everest hero Yes Yes Yes had another weanling sell for seven figures with the Fairhill Farm consigned colt from Shudabeen selling for $100,000 to Trilogy Racing.

Aquis Farm’s Pierata had another seven figure weanling with the Rheinwood Pastoral consigned colt from Talented Miss selling for $100,000 to savvy pinhooking partnership Redwall Syndicate.
