Extreme Choice share among early Chairman's supplementaries

Media Release - Thursday April 14

A share in the world’s hottest young stallion Extreme Choice and mares in foal on highly desirable pregnancies head the early supplementary entries for next month’s Chairman’s Sale.

Since his first crop of 2YOs hit the racetrack 18 months ago, progeny of Newgate Farm stallion Extreme Choice have continued to defy history, running at a remarkable 18.4% Stakes winners/runners.

Extreme Choice

He has already produced a G1 Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside as well as Stakes winners including Tiger Of Malay, Extreme Warrior, She’s Extreme, Espiona, Extreme Flight, Xtremetime etc, while his yearlings this year alone have sold up to $825,000, $775,000, $700,000 etc.

“By every metric, he’s the best young stallion in the Southern Hemisphere,’’ Newgate’s Henry Field said.

“To have had four Group 1 performers – including a Golden Slipper winner in Stay Inside – already from such a small number of horses to race is really quite extraordinary.’’

As well as the breeding right in Extreme Choice, young, well-bred, Danehill-free mare Helix Park (Nicconi) will also be offered as a supplementary lot, carrying a hugely valuable Extreme Choice pregnancy.

“There have been some fantastic additions to the catalogue already and we are very fortunate to offer breeders great opportunities to be part of the extraordinary Extreme Choice success story,’’ Inglis’ Senior Bloodstock Consultant Harry Bailey said.

“We’re absolutely delighted with how the Chairman’s catalogue has come together and with just over a week remaining for supplementary entries to be accepted, now is the time for participants with elite race fillies and broodmares to get in touch to be part of what is a special evening of auction theatre.’’

Supplementary entries for the Chairman’s Sale will remain open until Friday April 22.
