Sixgun Tops Inglis Digital Sale

Media Release - Wednesday April 13

Sale-topper Sixgun (Snitzel) will do the rest of his racing in Hong Kong after being purchased by Dr Alan Lee’s A Value Consulting Limited for $145,000 in the Inglis Digital April (Early) Online Sale.

Dr Lee, a regular buyer through the Inglis Digital platform, confirmed three-time Sydney winner Sixgun would target Class 2 and Class 3 races in Hong Kong in the short-term.

Sixgun sold for $145,000

“We’re very pleased to get Sixgun in this sale,’’ Dr Lee said.

“I received a purchase order to import a raced horse for a Hong King client and Sixgun is the perfect horse for this purpose.

“Sixgun will be rated about 66+ in Hong Kong so there is plenty of room to go up to higher class for him as well.

“We are very happy to continue to look for good choices in Inglis Digital. The platform continues to grow in popularity and more owners from different countries are asking to look for good buying options each sale.’’

Sixgun was offered by trainer Mark Newnham on behalf of owners Geoff and Mary Grimish.

“Geoff often trades his horses and we’re delighted with the price received today,’’ Newnham said.

“He’s a horse with plenty of talent and I’m sure Mr Lee will have plenty of fun with him in Hong Kong moving forward.

“Inglis Digital is a great platform, I think everybody agrees with that, it’s part of the industry now, we all know there’s two sales a month and that’s extremely valuable as a seller but it’s also great to know for buyers that there is such a regular option there.’’

Sixgun’s sale helped the April (Early) auction gross $2,534,350 at an average of $11,520.

The second-top lot was Mawkeb (Deep Field), a lightly raced filly which Lindsay Park purchased for $120,000.

“She’s a very well-bred filly and we’re very lucky to be keeping her,’’ Lindsay Park’s JD Hayes said.

“She was part of the [Shadwell] dispersal and was a filly we were really keen to retain. She’s got good ability and from her first three starts to date, there’s some very good form around her and we believe she will continue to improve into her prep and beyond.’’

Other leading lots were broodmare Armed For Action (IF to Street Boss) selling to Viv Oldfield for $85,000, Bjorn Baker’s Matowatakpe selling to Jack Bruce Racing for $80,000 and Rob Heathcote-trained mare Minjee, who Yevrah Investments secured for $70,000.

Inglis Digital graduates continue to perform successfully on the racetrack.

Through the first 10 days of April, 118 Inglis Digital graduates won races across Australia, for win prizemoney in excess of $1.5m.

From last weekend alone, 118 graduates of the platform had won races in Australia during April for a combined prizemoney of over $1.5m.
