Rule of Law Highlights Inglis Digital

Tara Madgwick - Saturday February 19

Not many horses can win five Sydney metro races in succession, but Snitzel four year-old Rule of Law has achieved the feat and all of these wins have come subsequent to his sale through Inglis Digital in April of last year.

Now trained Bjorn Baker, Rule of Law went on his winning way at Rosehill on Saturday, dominating his rivals to win the Benchmark 94 event over 1100m by two lengths with Tim Clark in the saddle.

Rule of Law now looks set for a crack at Black Type company with his overall record standing at seven wins and two placings from 11 starts with prizemoney topping $310,000.

“On his work on Tuesday he was unbeatable, he just keeps raising the bar,” Baker said.

“We’ve got a lot of great people in this horse including my vet Al Frogley and a lot of good friends.

“He’s so much fun, because there is no risk for what we paid, he’s always had ability and we just got him when we could get the best out of him.”

Rule of Law was bought by his current owners through Inglis Digital - click to see his sale page.

A $450,000 Inglis Easter purchase for  China Horse Club / Newgate Bloodstock / WinStar from the Highgrove Stud draft, Rule of Law showed promise as a colt winning two of his first three starts for Peter and Paul Snowden before a wind problem surfaced.

When offered through the 2021 Inglis Digital April (late) Sale as a gelding it was declared that Rule of Law required a throat operation and was duly sold for $30,000 to Clarke Bloodstock and sent to Bjorn Baker with happy results!

Rule of Law is a full brother to Group II winner Thronum and half-brother to this season’s stakes-winning two year-old filly Cythera (running in Silver Slipper) being one of seven winners from seven to race from good producer Helena’s Secret (USA).
