A half-sister to Group I placed Scarlet Dream, who sold for $750,000 at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale last year, Freedom Seeker was bred by Tara Farm and is also a half-sister to Group III placed Runaway Girl.

She is among six winners from South African bred Asylum Seeker (SAF), the Champion 2YO Filly of 2005/2006 and winner of the Group I Greyville Golden Slipper.

Asylum Seeker has a yearling colt by Smart Missile that sold for $75,000 at Magic Millions this year to Elite Thoroughbreds and has another colt by Smart Missile to follow. She was covered last spring by Shalaa (IRE).
