Nicks that Click – Karaka 2022 –I Am Invincible

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 8

Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible is in hot pursuit of Nicconi to take over at the top of the Australian General Sires List and while his progeny are certainly not plentiful in Karaka Book 1, the two fillies that are catalogued are bred on nicks that have delivered proven success.

I Am Invincible is on track for another outstanding season with over 120 winners already with seasonal earnings of $11.9 million highlighted by 13 stakes-winners (Australia and NZ combined) including Group I winning colt Home Affairs, unbeaten sprint sensation Marabi and 2YO  stakes-winners Queen of the Ball, Cythera and Ebhaar.

I Am Invincible has two entries for Karaka Book 1.

Jamieson Park look set to start the sale on a high with their I Am Invincible filly to be offered as Lot 11, the second foal of Group I winner Thee Auld Floozie, a daughter of outstanding shuttle sire Mastercraftsman (IRE).

I Am Invincible is three for three with daughters of Mastercraftsman and his dual Group I winning $2.2million earning filly Loving Gaby is bred this way and is also from an NZ bred mare in Maastricht.

Pencarrow Stud will offer the only other I Am Invincible in the sale with Lot 596, the half-sister to Group winners Supera and Eleonora from proven producer Sopra Tutto, an unraced daughter of Melbourne and Caulfield Cup winner Ethereal.

Sopra Tutto is by Van Nistelrooy (USA), a Storm Cat sire that has not had a lot of interaction with I Am Invincible, but the two runners that are bred this way are both multiple winners which is encouraging given the overall quality of the pedigree which is one of Pencarrow Stud's finest.
