Inglis Classic Next for Torryburn Stud

Torryburn Stud flagbearer Home Affairs has returned to the stable of champion trainer Chris Waller and while his yearling half-brother by Dundeel promises to be one of the stars of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, the team at Torryburn have a more immediate mission in preparing a cracking draft for Inglis Classic starting next Sunday.

An explosive winner of the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes, Home Affairs is not the only current star 3YO bred and sold by Torryburn, whose easily recognized TS in a heart brand is also carried by his undefeated stablemate Espiona.

A $190,000 Magic Millions purchase for Star Thoroughbreds / Randwick Bloodstock, Espiona has started twice for two wins by a combined total of 10 lengths and looms as one of the female stars of the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

From the second crop of leading first season sire Russian Revolution, sire of Magic Millions 2YO Classic runner-up Russian Conquest. He the second foal from winning Lonhro mare Red Hearts, a half-sister to dual Group II winner Deploy from Group III winner Crimson Reign. The first foal from Red Hearts is Our Heart Throb (2c Spirit Of Boom), who is trained by Tony Gollan and finished a gallant second at his one and only start to date.

This colt is out of a mare by Commands, who has sired the dams of 66 stakes performers including Group I winners Got The Greenlight, Contentment, Politeness and Captivant.

From the second crop of Merchant Navy, who has been represented by two first crop winners and Group III placed Drisana. He is the third foal metro winning I Am Invincible mare I’ll Decide from the family of stakes winners Hosannah, Altar, Blackball, Deprive and Holly Roller. The first foal of the mare is Lockdown Sally (3f Stratum Star), who finished a narrow second on debut on January 22 and looks a more than capable type moving forward.
