The Lindsay Park Racing-trained import has been allocated an extra 0.5kg for both races, taking his weight to 51.5kg for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.

Racing Victoria executive general manager racing, Greg Carpenter, said in a statement the six-year-old entire won a truly run race last Saturday.

"Harlem proved he has the class to be competitive in the Caulfield Cup with a relatively light weight," Carpenter said.

"Harlem was very strong at the end of the Naturalism Stakes, beating Samovare and Stampede in a race that was run at a genuine speed throughout."

Harlem earned ballot exemption for the Caulfield Cup with his win in the Naturalism Stakes and is currently 59th in the Melbourne Cup order of entry.

First acceptances for the Caulfield Cup will be taken on Tuesday.
