The Premier Sale has been a constant source of star racehorses for buyers over a long period, from the likes of Sacred Kingdom, Starspangledbanner and Black Caviar, but it’s been in more recent years that its reputation for quality graduates has developed even further.

Premier graduates have also won 20 of Australia’s Open $1m+ races since 2019, more than any other individual sale in the Southern Hemisphere.

The sale has produced 19 G1-winning graduates since 2018, 11 of whom could have been purchased for $100,000 or less including Gytrash, Santa Ana Lane, Beat The Clock, Kenedna, Seabrook, Hey Doc, Spright, Lunar Fox etc.

“We are very lucky here in Victoria to have many of Australasia’s best breeders, stallions and yearling preparers which are the foundation for this spectacular catalogue for the 2022 Premier Sale,’’ Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Manager James Price said.

“Spring racing served as a great endorsement of the quality of the sale, with the likes of Nature Strip, Masked Crusader, Lost And Running, Bruckner, Douceur, Bella Nipotina, Blue Army, Sneaky Five, Semillion and many others amongst the graduates who distinguished themselves.

“The sale is always a great spectacle and it’s a fantastic time of the year to be in one of the best cities in the world, Melbourne, so we are very excited for the sale.’’

Hard copies of the Premier catalogue will be available within a fortnight.
