Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Friday January 14

John North and his team at Bowness Stud have achieved an enviable record for producing Group I performers from their family run thoroughbred nursery at Young on the South West Slopes of NSW and a talented Zoustar three year-old they bred and sold at Magic Millions in 2020 will run for the powerful Chris Waller stable in the $2million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas on Saturday.

Magic Millions 3YO Guineas contender Starman was bred and sold by Bowness Stud.

Starman was a $500,000 purchase for Tom Magnier from the Bowness Stud draft and has won three of six starts. He will back up from a good last start victory at Gold Coast last Saturday and has drawn barrier seven.

In recent years, Bowness Stud drafts have produced Champion 3YO and four time Group I winner Trapeze Artist, super talented Group I winning half-sisters Youngstar and Funstar as well as the 2021 SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Media Award, not to mention Group and stakes-winners Chapada, Paradee and Indian Pacific.
