Victorian Alliance Secure $1.3million for Zoustar Colt

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 12

Victorian Stallion Alliance have already had success with their $1million Zoustar colt from last year’s Magic Millions in Brereton and they went back to the source to secure another son of Widden Stud’s champion sire on Wednesday paying $1.3million for the colt from Pirapala.

Bred by China Horse Club and consigned on their behalf by Sledmere Stud, the star colt was purchased by Rosemont-Victorian Alliance/Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA)/David Redvers Bloodstock and will be trained by Peter Moody, who also puts the polish on Brereton.

$1.3million Zoustar colt from Pirapala will be trained by Peter Moody.

He is the second foal of Pirapala, whose first foal, a colt by Russian Revolution made $160,000 at this sale last year when bought by Hawkes Racing and has been named Firebird Two.

Pirapala is a winning half-sister by Sepoy to Group I winner Instant Celebrity and this family has already had stakes success with Zoustar to produce Hong Kong Group III winner Healthy Happy.

Pirapala has a filly to follow by Russian Revolution and is in foal to Golden Slipper winner Farnan.
