It is the eve of the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. Which means it’s time to take a look at the yearlings that have caught the eye of prospective buyers during the week long inspections.

Day one is a shortened book with 180 lots catalogued so here we go.

Lot No:25 b f I Am Invincible x Extremely by Hussonet Consignor: Yulong.

Half-sister to Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and Group 1 MVRC AJ Moir Stakes winner Extremely (Not A Single Doubt, now among the hottest stallions in the nation.

Yulong paid $735,000 for Extremely in 2016 and her last two foals have made $600,000 (Not A Single Doubt) and $550,000 (I Am Invincible).

Lot No:39 b c I Am Invincible x Fast Fleet by Fastnet Rock Consignor: Vinery Stud

Half-brother to 5-time Group 1 winner Santa Ana Lane.

Dam’s previous two yearlings have made $500,000 (Zoustar) and $650,000 (Frosted).

Lot No:42 Br f Zoustar x Faustine by Snitzel Consignor: Widden Stud

Three-quarter sister to recent Group III George Moore Stakes winner Zoustyle

This filly was a $250,000 pinhook from the National Weanling Sale.

Lot No: 60 b c Zoustar x Fox Swift by Foxwedge Consignor: Widden Stud.

First foal of the accomplished racemare Fox Swift, winner of the Listed VRC Cap d'Antibes Stakes.

Lot No:61 gr f Trapeze Artist x Fratianne by Lonhro Consignor: Widden Stud.

Half-sister to Group II ATC Reisling Slipper Stakes winner Tenley (Medaglia d’Oro) and Group III SAJC Sires' Produce Stakes winner Bisacyne Bay (Sebring) who ran third in the Group 1 VRC Oaks.

Half-brother to recent 2yo winner Russian Warrior.

Dam won the Group II ATC Reisling Slipper Stakes.

Lot No:78 b or br f Justify (USA) x Global Glamour by Star Witness Consignor: Coolmore Stud.

Second foal of Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes and Group 1 MRC Thousand Guineas winner Global Glamour who was purchased by Coolmore for $1.55 million when carrying a Zoustar colt that sold here last year for $600,000.

Lot No: 82 b f Zoustar x Gold And Diamonds by Fastnet Rock) Consignor: Yulong

Half-sister to the very promising Authentic Jewel (I Am Invincible, who has won twice at Warwick Farm in recent weeks and finished second in the Listed Gosford Guineas.

Gold And Diamonds was an $800,000 Yulong purchase when carrying Authentic Jewel who sold for $650,000 in 2020.

A three-quarter brother to Group II Matamata Breeders' Stakes winner and Group 1 placed Gold Fever. Dam also won the Group II Matamata Breeders' Stakes and is a half-sister to ATC Gimcrack Stakes winner Calaverite (Lonhro).

Lot No:108 b c Written By x Heriz by Redoute’s Choice Consignor: Newhaven Park.

Half-brother to three winners including dual Group III winner Jamaican Rain (Manhattan Rain) and stakes placed Diasonic (Reset).

Lot No:121 ch f Not A Single Doubt x Houston Benefactor by Encosta de Lago Consignor: Segenhoe Stud.

From the final crop of sale ring favourite Not A Single Doubt, this flashy chestnut is a half-sister to three winners out of a stakes-placed sister to Group II MVRC Bill Stutt Stakes winner Sovereign Nation.

Lot No:125 ch c Deep Field x I Am A Star by I Am Invincible) Consignor: Newgate Farm.

First foal of Group 1 VRC Myer Classic winner I Am A Star who was offered by Newgate with a $1.5 million price tag, which was not met, at the 2019 National Broodmare Sale.

Lot No: 130 b or br c Snitzel x Ichihara General Nediym Consignor: Corumbene Stud.

Brother to two winners. Dame won four stakes races highlighted by the Group II ATC Magic Night Stakes.

 Brother to this colt sold for $2.8 million at Easter 2019.

Second foal of a French stakes-winner and Group II placed.

The mares first foal by Snitzel was a $900,000 yearling.

Lot No 142 b or br c I Am Invincible x Into The Mist by Redoute’s Choice Consignor: Three Bridges Thoroughbreds.

Dam won the Group II SAJC Queen of the South Stakes and is a half-sister to another Queen Of The South winner Shrouded In Mist (Exceed And Excel) and triple Listed winner Instinction (Exceed And Excel).

Brother to this seasons smart 2yo Snitcat and a half-brother to Group III winner Felines (Conatus) and stakes-placed Domesticated (Encosta de Lago)

First foal of a Grade III stakes-winner in Canada.

Lot No: 172 b f Zoustar x Karuta Queen by Not A Single Doubt Consignor: Strawberry Hill.

Half-sister to stakes-winner Ewase (Sebring).

Dam a Group III and Magic Millions 2yo Classic winner and Group 1 placed. She has a Written Tycoon filly sell for $1,500,000 here in 2020.
