Kirramosa's Daughter Makes Winning Debut in Japan

Ridden by Yuga Kawada for trainer Ryuji Okubo, Chuwa Dance (JPN) was sent off favourite for her debut.

In a driving finish the daughter of Heart’s Cry defeated the Siyouni colt Susan Asher by a half length with a neck back to the Rulership filly Bear The Bell back in third.

Chuwa Dance is the second winner from as many foals for Kirramosa after Admire Mimosa, a brother to Chuwa Dance, who won a 3yo maiden at Niigata.

A daughter of Alamosa, Kirramosa’s career highlight came when defeating Zanbagh and Solicit in the 2013 VRC Oaks.

Kirramosa was unwanted as a yearling

At her previous start, Kirramosa defeated May’s Dream and Solicit in the Group II Wakeful Stakes.

Kirramosa failed to sell when offered by Wellfield Lodge at the 2012 Select Yearling Sale at Karaka.

She is out of the unraced Danske mare Freyja, a half-sister to Group II STC Tulloch Stakes winner Zareyev. Second dam is 1988 Group 1 New Zealand One Thousand Guineas  winner Olga's Pal (Straight Strike)

Kirramosa has a 2yo colt by lord Kanaloa, a yearling filly by Real Steel, and was covered by Kizuna.
