Mount Pleasant Back in Winner’s List

Tara Madgwick - Monday December 6

A two time Group II winner in South Africa, Vancouver four year-old Mount Pleasant was back in the winners list at Greyville on Monday when taking out the Pinnacle Stakes (1200m).

Second past the post, he was awarded the race on protest and has now won four of nine starts.

Mount Pleasant was originally trained by Mike de Kock, but is now in the care of Duncan Howells.

Mount Pleasant as a yearling.

A $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the draft of Two Bays Farm for Form Bloodstock, Mount Pleasant is a half-brother to Group II winner Quantum Mechanic.

Bred by Makybe, Mount Pleasant is among four winners from Life in a Metro, a winning three-quarter sister by Fasnet Rock to Group I winners Absolutely and Abbey Marie.

Life in a Metro died in 2020 and her final foal is two year-old Sebring colt Diablo, who has been retained to race by Makybe.
