Debut Winner for So You Think

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 3

Ron and Judy Wanless have been great clients for the Peter Moody stable for a long time and their homebred three year-old So You Think gelding Victory Bay made a winning debut for the champion trainer at Moonee Valley on Friday.

Sent out favourite for the 1200m maiden event, Victory Bay did just enough for Luke Nolen to score a half head win in a thrilling finish.

Victory Bay has been given time to mature and will be allowed to work through his grades, but there is no denying a So You think that can win first up over 1200m invariably has a lot more to offer.

Victory Bay is the first winner for Redoute’s Choice mare Clevedon Bay, a metropolitan winning daughter of Group II winner Kosi Bay from the family of Group I winner Calveen and current star NZ 3YO Group II winner Pareanui Bay.

So You Think has a good affinity with daughters of Redoute's Choice.

The So You Think  x Redoute’s Choice cross has produced his Group I winners D’Argento and Inference as well as Group II winner Fasika.
