Mossman's Tambo's Mate Captures the Keith Noud

Mark Smith - Saturday November 13

Tambo's Mate completed a running treble for trainer Tony Gollan when he turned back the clock in the Listed Keith Noud (1200m) at Doomben.

It was the third stakes success for the 6yo son of Mossman, and they have been well-spaced.

In 2019 Tambo’s Mate rolled the top class Vega One in the Listed Tatt's QLD Recognition Stakes, and in May last year defeated Deep Image and Outback Barbie in the Group III BRC Sprint, both at Doomben.

With Ryan Maloney in the saddle, Tambo’s Mate defeated Stampe (Whittington) by a long head with a further long neck back to the fast-finishing Baller (High Chaparral) in third.

The son of Mossman advances his record to ten wins, three seconds and two thirds from 26 starts with earnings of $618,925

A homebred for Dalan Tamblyn, Tambo’s Mate is the best of three winners from five to race out of the Brisbane winning Canny Lad mare Passagemaker, a daughter of the Listed stakes-winner Georgia Belle (Clear Choice).

Passagemaker has a 2yo filly by Churchill (IRE) who was passed in short of her $50,000 reserve 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale

She has a yearling filly by Epaulette and was covered by Pierata in December last year.
