Making her debut, the Annabel Neasham trained filly settled off the pace and was strong to the line, powering clear to win the 1000m dash by half a length.

Raced by OTI Racing, Lady Laguna was bred by Spendthrift Australia and not offered at auction. She is the first winner for metro winning Catalina de Lago, a half-sister by Encosta de Lago to Group II winner She Will Be Loved and to the dam of Group III winner Luke’s Luck.

She has provided the perfect start for the stud career of Overshare, a Group III winning son of champion sire I am Invincible.
