Racenet lays for Saturday

Breednet - Friday September 22

Plenty of supposed good things across the country on Saturday but the Racenet analysts have put their heads together to give punters another tool to help them turn a profit with the Racenet lays of the day.

There is one odds-on favourite we're prepared to take on at the weekend.

Below are the favoured runners that the Racenet men have discounted as winning chances on Saturday.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS

$3.20

Edged out Dawn Wall last when the runner-up's condition gave out late. We concede he meets the mate better at the weights but that is offset by several important factors. Firstly, Washington Heights has had three runs back so doubt he has much improvement whiles Dawn Wall strips fitter for the first-up run. With the barrier draw you will not see Washington Heights sitting fourth on the fence, he’s likely to be giving the mare a start this time in what we expect to be a slowly run race.

BRAVE SMASH

$1.75

Just because they look good things doesn’t always mean they are. Was made to earn the win last start at Moonee Valley and you would hope has been improved but meets El Divino and Keen Array worse at the weights and he goes up as well. If he’s a chance in The Everest then he should be winning this easily but do we want to rush in at odds on - no way.

MY DIAMANTINE

$2.80

Good stayer and won well last start. Has paid for that with a 3kg rise in weight and strikes a solid field. Is likely to get back and not sure that will be the best place to be at what is her first start on this course so happy to take her on as favourite

Morphettville Parks

MOSS ’N’ DALE

$2.40

Has been up a long time and racing consistently but several reasons to oppose him here. Is up in class and his weight advantage has been whittled away by claims used on the other major chances. Should be on speed but is he good enough to hold out some strong finishers? At these odds we don’t want to try and find out.

Belmont

LOCKROY

$2.80

Looked to have every possible chance in a similar race last start and beaten. Racing consistently and he obviously has a chance but starting a shorter price than he did for a last start defeat in what is no easier a race does not make punting sense to us.
