One to Watch - Scone

Tara Madgwick - Friday September 22
The well-known colours of the Esplin family were carried to victory in impressive fashion at Scone on Friday by a half-sister to their Group I winning mare Plucky Belle by Aquis Farm's Dream Ahead (USA).

Three year-old filly Dreamy Belle had been well educated with a series of barrier trials by Kris Lees and looked a class above when scooting clear to win the 900 metre scamper by two and a quarter lengths on debut.

Dream AheadDreamy Belle is a half-sister to Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Plucky Belle and Group I place-getters Rawnaq and Light Brigade.

She is the fifth winner from six foals to race from former high class Group II winning Zabeel mare Winning Belle.

Winning Belle has a yearling colt by Plucky Belle's sire Mossman and sadly missed to Dream Ahead last spring.

The leading Australian Second Crop Sire last season by stakes-winners, Dream Ahead stands at Aquis Farm at Murrurrundi at a fee of $19,800.
