More Stakes Success for Wootton Bassett Mare

Tara Madgwick - Sunday October 31

Exciting shuttle sire Wootton Bassett (GB) is working through an exceptional book of mares at Coolmore this spring and in Europe the stakes results keep coming for him with his quality mare Speak of the Devil taking out the Listed Prix Isola Bella (1600m) at Saint-Cloud overnight.

The Frederic Rossi  trained mare powered to a three length victory and has now won four of 13 starts.

It was the third stakes success for Speak of the Devil, who has also been twice placed in Group I races.

She is a half-sister to Group III winner Morando from Moranda, a half-sister by Indian Rocket to Group III winner Myasun and stakes-winner Matwan.

Speak of the Devil is one of 12 stakes-winners in 2021 for Wootton Bassett, who stands in Australia this spring at a fee of $71,500.
