In Brisbane Honorable Spirit recorded his first stakes win when weaving through traffic late in the race to gain success in the Queensland Cup over 2406m. A 4YO son of Charm Spirit, Honorable Spirit was bred by Vicki & Terry Pascoe along with Adam Testro and is from their Zabeel mare Z’Honor, a daughter of the Pascoe’s renowned Group 1 winning racemare Honor Bound.

With his breakthrough stakes success Honorable Spirit was recording his 8th win and comes from the second Southern Hemisphere crop of Charm Spirit, adding to his impressive first crop record of stakes winners that includes Group winners Aretha, Fascino, Lilikoi, Sansom and Scorpz.

Meanwhile at Chantilly in France, Charm Spirit’s 3YO colt Lord Charming won going away in the Chantilly Prix Le Fabuleux. Lord Charming is already a multiple Group performer for his sire and is a progressive young racehorse whose first stakes success is a signal of more to come.

Charm Spirit has six 2YO’s catalogued for the upcoming NZ Bloodstock Ready To Run sale at Karaka next month. This year his yearlings sold up to $280,000 at Karaka with some of these 2YO’s showing excellent potential.
