Mick Price Signs for War Front Colt at Saratoga

Leading Melbourne trainer Mick Price outlaid $250,000 for a War Front (USA) colt on the opening day of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling sale.

Consigned by Eaton Sales, the dark bay or brown colt is a brother to stakes-winner Alkaraama and stakes-placegetters King Neptune and Faydhan and a half-brother to Listed winner and Group 1 placed Mark Of Approval (Lemond Drop Kid).   

His dam Agreeable Miss is an unraced daughter of Speighstown out of the Grade II winner sweet And Ready (El Prado).

War Front (USA) has enjoyed Group 1 success in Australia through the Australian cup winner Homesman (USA), and War Front’s son Declaration Of War (USA) is the sire of Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare, Victoria Derby winner Warning and Queensland Oaks winner Winning Ways.
