Cluster Double of Debut Winners

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 2

Larneuk Stud like to support their own sires and were well rewarded when Cluster delivered two homebred debut winners at Pakenham last Saturday.

Both trained by Greg Eurell, Casa Bendita and Redempt were both able to win on debut on the last day of the racing season as three year-olds.

Casa Bendita won over 1200m by a length and Redempt won by a half length over the same trip.

Casa Bendita is the second winner from winning Cape Cross (IRE) mare Dena, a grand-daughter of Group I winner Whisked, the dam of champion stayer Tie the Knot with the family also producing last season’s classy three year-old Cherry Tortoni.

Redempt is the second winner from Angel of Capri, a winning Archway (IRE) daughter of stakes-placed Blue Capri.

Cluster
A proven son of Fastnet Rock, Cluster sired 26 winners from 52 starters last season with his star performer being Group II placed juvenile Rocket Tiger, who was second in the Group II ATC Silver Slipper to Home Affairs.

He contested the Golden Slipper and finished his season with nearly $190,000 in prizemoney.

Cluster stands at a fee of $6,600 this spring.
