The Invitation Invites Retired Star Back To The Track

Breednet - Sunday July 18

The latest influx of prizemoney into Sydney racing by Racing NSW has reportedly prompted the decision to pull a recently retired top class mare from the paddock and back to the race track while still visiting the service barn.

Sweet Deal

Clinton Payne from racenet.com.au reports that multiple group winner and Group One placed Sweet Deal (Casino Prince x Dorothy Eevelyn) is set to return to trainer John Thompson’s stable following the Racing NSW announcement this week of The Invitation, a $2 million invitation only race for fillies and mares to be run on October 23.

Sweet Deal was recently sold at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $850,000 and subsequently retired, however she will now be returned to work with a carefully planned preparation which caters for her also being served by Widden Stud’s Zoustar mid-prep.
