South African Group III for Australian Bred Son of Camelot

The Justin Snaith-trained Crown Towers, an Australian-bred son of Camelot (IRE), captured the Group III Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cup Trial Handicap (1800m) at Greyville overnight.

Ridden by Richard Fourie, Crown Towers led all the way to defeat Tristful by 0.2 lengths with Nexus less than three-quarters of a length from the winner in third.

“He’s an incredible horse,” Justin Snaith said.

It was the seventh win from 20 starts for Crown Towers who was a $280,000 purchase by Heywood Bloodstock / Mayfair Speculators out of the Mill Park draft at the 2017 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

Crown Towers is the best of four winners from as many to race out of the stakes-placed Galileo mare Miss With Attitude a half-sister to stakes-placed Oui Si Attitude (Bianconi) the dam of Listed SAJC Adelaide Guineas winner So We Are (So You Think).

Miss With Attitude has an unraced American Pharoah (USA) colt named King Of Pharaohs and a weanling colt by The Autumn Sun. She was bred back to The Autumn Sun again last spring.

Camelot (IRE) shuttled to Coolmore Stud for just one season in 2014.
