Winning Double for All Too Hard

The fast start to the season for Vinery Stud's young gun All Too Hard gained further momentum on Friday with a winning double of impressive maiden winners in Lakota and Waimea Bay.

Lakota as a yearlingSaluting on debut at Geelong for Team Hawkes, Lakota opened his account with a short neck victory over 1000 metres.

A $220,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Bhima Thoroughbreds for Hawkes Racing, Lakota rusn for a syndicate headed by Legh Racing in whose colours he runs.

He is the third winner from stakes-winner Fasline, a daughter of Group II winner Umaline from the family of Group I winner Captain Sonador.

Also successful at Tuncurry as a short priced favourite was the Kris Lees trained filly Waimea Bay, who scored by half a length at her third start.

A $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Bester from the Kia Ora Stud draft, Waimea Bay runs for Bester and Emmaroo Bloodstock.

She is the first winner for imported stakes-winning Stravinsky mare Waveline (USA).

All Too Hard has had four winners in three days giving him seven winners since the start of the a season and a clear lead at the top of the Australian Second Season Sires List.



The half-brother to Black Caviar stands at a fee of $44,000 this spring.
