Farnan's Half-Brother Born at Vinery

Mark Smith - Tuesday October 6

After missing in 2017 and 2018, the Street Cry (IRE) mare Tallow welcomed a half-brother to the newly crowned Champion Two-Year-Old Farnan (Not A Single Doubt) into the world at Vinery Stud on Saturday night.

The colt comes from the first crop of Arrowfield Stud’s 5-time Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun.

Also the dam of the dual Listed stakes-winner Sandbar (Snitzel), Tallow was a very capable performer on the track winning three of her 12 starts including the Group III VRC The Vanity but her biggest payday came when splitting Graceful Anna and Love Conquers All in the Magic Millions 3yo Trophy at the Gold Coast.

Consigned by Strawberry Hill Stud to the 2017 National Broodmare Sale, Tallow was bought by David Lucas on behalf of Phoenix Thoroughbreds for $250,000.

She was carrying Farnan at the time and the son of Not A Single Doubt was purchased for $550,000 in partnership by Phoenix Thoroughbreds and Aquis Farms out of the Vinery Stud draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale..
