The strapping chestnut colt credited his sire with his first winner at his second start at the Gold Coast on January 4. He returned seven days later to contest that track’s feature race the $2 million Magic Millions 2yo Classic where he finished a praiseworthy fourth behind Away Game.Headwater's Wisdom of Water was a $70,000 Magic Millions Yearling

Off the scene for 15 weeks, Wisdom Of Water returned to his home track on Friday for a bloodless five and a half lengths score over the Chris Waller-trained Vital Verse (Medaglia D'Oro) with the winner’s stablemate Jetty (Jet Spur) a half-length back in third.

The son of Headwater will start in either the Listed Ken Russell Memorial or Champagne Classic before a possible tilt at the Group 1 JJ Atkins Stakes.

With two wins from his four starts, Wisdom Of Water has banked $237,100.

A $70,000 purchase by Blandford Bloodstock out of the Eureka Stud draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Wisdom Of Water is the third foal and third winner out of the winning Royal Academy (USA) mare Regal Tier who is a half-sister to eight winners including the dual Listed winner Tierquillo and the stakes-placed Eminence Grise and to the dam of the Listed Glasshouse Stakes winner Flamboyer.

Regal Tier has a colt foal by Headwater and was covered last spring by Encryption last spring.
