The highest priced yearling by King’s Legacy ever sold, God Save the King made a winning debut at Newcastle on Monday carrying the same colours as his sire.
A full sister to Hong Kong Horse of the Year and triple G1 winner Werther, Toffee Tongue had plenty of ability too, winning the 2020 SAJC Schweppes Oaks and her first foal scored a debut win at Sale on Thursday.
The first stakes-winner for her sire King’s Legacy when winning the Group III SAJC David Coles AM Stakes (1200m) last season, Steel Trap was subsequently purchased by Yulong privately and she posted her first win in their colours at Sandown on Wednesday.
A half-brother to Group I winning sprinter and $2.1million earner Benedetta, King’s Legacy colt Whatalegacy made it two wins in as many starts when he scorched the turf at Kembla on Thursday.
Trial watchers have been impressed in recent weeks with the efforts of the Bjorn Baker trained King’s Legacy colt Whatalegacy and he duly made a winning debut at Wyong on Sunday.
