Thoroughbreds are Go – The Best Thoroughbred Jumper in the Country

Tara Madgwick - Monday April 13

Fans of Caroline Searcy’s new show Thoroughbreds are Go on Sky will have to wait until next Monday night for a new episode which will be the last in the current series, but for those who missed last week’s show here’s a chance to see the best thoroughbred showjumper in the country.

Showjumper Nelson Smyth has a background in racing having grown up near Rockhampton where his family own and run Laurel Glen Equine Centre with his dad Kerrod Smyth a keen breeder and trainer of thoroughbreds as well as warmbloods.

Nelson Smyth and Laurel Glen Lucky Time

Nelson has achieved remarkable success with Queensland bred Bradbury’s Luck gelding Laurel Glen Lucky Time, who won two minor races at Rockhampton as Kilwinning Luck.

See them in action and hear from Adrian Bott’s wife Jessica on her success with thoroughbred jumper Raise an Angel and Katelyn Mallyon and her challenge to turn Little White Cloud into a showjumper!

Also hear from Brendan Parnell on the initiatives being taken in Queensland to improve care of thoroughbreds after racing.
